Smarty Jones' Kentucky Derby win and Triple Crown near miss brought International recognition to the Pennsylvania racing scene.
After the basic concept for the sculpture is agreed upon, a clay model is done for approval by the customer.

It was decided to change Smarty's model to an enlarged version of this model which I did for the Chapman's, John Servis, Stewart Elliott and other parties close to Smarty.
